The System
OASIS is Le Prieuré’s patented solution for optimizing water resources and developing roof gardens. The BIOSOLAR version is the 1st hydro-bio-solar roof on the market.
The advantage of OASIS BIOSOLAR is its 3-in-1 synergy:
- Increased electrical output: evaporation from the greening complex cools the panels, boosting their output during hot spells (+7.51% according to a study from June 2023 to June 2024),
- Optimized water management: the system captures and evaporates 80 to 100% of annual rainfall, helping to achieve “zero discharge”,
- Biodiversity encouraged: the shaded areas created by the panels create ecosystems conducive to the development of diverse flora.
HYDROSTOCK tanks are connected to each other to form a uniform water reservoir on the roof. The water stored in the tanks (52 L/m²) rises by capillary action to the substrate, or evaporates.
A flow limiter is located in each tank zone (approximately every 80 tanks) to allow water that has not been evapotranspired or consumed by the plants to be drained off, at a micro-flow rate of up to 0.5 L/s/ha.
The Modulo multimodal plate allows solar panels to be attached without impacting the waterproofing membrane. Modulo plates also act as a support for the culture layer (the substrate).
The system’s own weight allows it to be weighted down: the installation characteristics (choice of rails, substrate thickness, etc.) are defined following a preliminary study by Le Prieuré’s Bureau d’Ingénierie Verte.
For use on all types of roofs, with a maximum pitch of 5%.
OASIS BIOSOLAR is a joint innovation from Le Prieuré and Adiwatt.
