Wood decking and slabs on blocks for walkable roofs
Our roof rainwater management system, OASIS, is equipped with a multimodal plate on which all types of landscaping can be installed.
The know-how developed on OASIS now enables us to offer the service of installing decking, slabs on blocks or other coverings, whether or not the terrace is equipped with a retention system.
We can also advise you on the wood species and finishes you want, depending on your budget, frequency of maintenance or desired finish.

Separating elements
On roofing projects with substantial substrate thicknesses, separating elements become decisive as they play a part in the terrace’s architecture.
LE PRIEURE handles a whole range of battens and separating elements available in several materials and finishes.
Whether concrete, made-to-measure battens, bottomless planters, in wood, aluminum or steel, we can support you in the design, manufacture and installation of the most appropriate solution.
Custom planters
Every project is unique.
For every project, a solution can be developed in partnership with LE PRIEURE: height, sheet thickness, finish, strength, ease of assembly, maneuverability, weight, irrigation, are all variables we study to offer you the solution best suited to your project.
We understand the importance of these elements in the overall architectural or landscape project, and apply all our know-how to satisfy your requirements.

Tree anchoring
The greening of buildings is becoming increasingly ambitious. Rooftop gardens should be spaces for relaxation, where trees provide a number of benefits: cool foliage, shade and increased biodiversity.
Integrating trees into roofs requires special know-how, particularly to ensure their long-term development.
The method of growing and transporting the tree to the roof is essential, but it’s above all the planting, irrigation and monitoring of the tree that will guarantee its recovery. Anchoring the tree properly will enable it to root well, resist wind and grow in good conditions.
LE PRIEURE has developed a whole range of anchoring solutions, from the simplest to the most resistant.
Integrated furniture
Planters can be transformed into furniture, and vice versa! Wooden seats can be integrated into the planters, or they can be shaped to create relaxing spaces.
By integrating furniture directly into the planters, costs can be shared and users can enjoy shaded areas. Standard solutions are available, but your projects can also be designed and built to order.
Tell us what you’d like to see in the way of green furniture, and our engineering department will be delighted to help!

Our teams are trained to advise you on the choice of plant palette for your garden roof, as well as on the choice of finishes for the fittings: wood species for decking, finish of slabs on blocks, choice of textures or RAL for planters and other criteria that will make your garden roof an exceptional one.
Still wondering about garden roofs?
Can all rooftops be greened?
Not all terraces can be planted. To accommodate these features, the slab must be able to bear the additional load. With substrate thicknesses in excess of 30 cm, the weights to be considered for vegetated areas are between 400 and 1000 Kg/m², or even more. In addition, the waterproofing membrane must be designed with the landscaping in mind.
Is watering compulsory on a garden roof?
The type of plant cover is decisive in determining whether or not watering is required. In general, from 15 cm of substrate, and for semi-intensive vegetation, watering is necessary. From 30 cm of substrate, and with the presence of trees, watering becomes essential. In this case, its main function is to “guarantee” against drought. A single season of intense drought, without watering, can result in the loss of trees planted on the roof.
How often should a garden roof be maintained?
All green roofs require regular maintenance, at the very least to check that no invasive species have taken hold, and that drainage is working properly. For garden roofs, the recommended number of visits is at least 6 per year. The denser the vegetation, the more regular the maintenance, so as not to let the roof-garden “go wild”.
What impact does a garden roof have on the building's thermal comfort?
Depending on the type of cladding, a garden roof can have a real impact on thermal comfort. In particular, vegetation improves evapotranspiration and prevents heat loss. Vegetated cladding will maintain a much lower temperature than bare cladding. What’s more, if the garden roof is planted with trees, they can provide coolness and even shade for users.
Generally speaking, vegetation helps to reduce the “urban heat island” (UHI) effect.
